Redefining the basics

A month in to life at Brandeis and Alex seems to be doing fine--adjusting to school and enjoying himself in all important ways. The dorm is a new family, diverse, intense, caring. Classes are tough: the languages challenging and lots of writing in the seminar and anthro. He's fencing and exercising everyday with the goal of competing for the team. The new life is coming together.

Tomorrow, we're going to see a play, I am my own wife, playing at the Zero in Cambridge. A favorite actor, Thomas Derrah, is performing in the one-man show. Afterwards, we'll come home for dinner and then drive A back to the dorm. So glad we can continue some favorite things.
