Life on NBC

Favorite new show alert: if you haven't seen Life on NBC, check it out. Wednesday nights at 10pm (for now) rebroadcast on USA on Sundays at midnight. Damian Lewis (Maj. Winters in Band of Brothers and Soames Forsyte in The Forsyte Saga) plays the main character, Charlie Crews. His partner is played by Sarah Shahi. This is a show about a cop who was wrongly convicted of a heinous crime, and goes to maximum security prison for Life. And life in prison is hell for Charlie Crews. Through the intervention of the Innocence Project, he is exonerated of all charges and released after serving 12 years. As part of his settlement with the city and the LAPD, Charlie gets $50 million dollars and his badge back. Yes, he wants to be cop again, and while he fights crime in his day job, he secretly pursues the conspirators who framed him at the same time. There are some very talented people involved on this show, both in front of and behind the camera as well as doing the writing. Watch the first 6 episodes for free at NBC's Life site. Not only can you watch the shows, you can also see the interactive Conspiracy Wall and talk in their forum. Then hussle over to the TWoP forum and talk up a storm with the wonderful people there who love Life. This show has the power of the Goldberg Variations in the hands of a master. Speaking of whom, relax a while and listen to Glenn Gould playing. :)

I love Life!! It's not doing so well in the ratings though, so I hope they keep it and let it have a shot. :)

Re: Life
We both know what that feels like don't we! ;) Thanks so much for coming by and commenting. I'm sorry I was late to the View-In last night.

So, about Life, a bunch of folks over at the TWoP Life forum have been taking a page (or several) from the book you should write about fan efforts to save TV shows. I've just learned how to digg articles and am digging a couple everyday. Also active at Hey! Nielsen, Eonline, Zap2It TVSquad, TV.com, and TVGuide. Another thing that we've been doing is a concerted campaign of emailing TV critics and bloggers about Life. So far, no snail mail campaign though. You're an inspiration for me in all these undertakings. :)
